One of the things I do is keep the client informed as their work progresses, just so there are NO surprises! So right now we are looking at different light bulb possibilities: LED or Marconi type incandescent. The lower photo shows both, the LED illuminating the edges of the glass.
This is a detail of a contemporary feel dining light; forged mesh and steel tube. I’m curious to see if people still read magazine ads.
We’ve recently been working on a custom textured bronze sink. Since the sink obviously goes hand in hand with water, I wanted the bronze to reflect the rippling that we associate with water. Using the “peening” blacksmith technique, I think we got pretty close.

So I’ve been exploring the use of the next wave of technology, LED lights, and steel. One of the frustrations I have with custom lights is that they can look so good in daylight but much of the detail disappears at times when the room gets dark. The photo shows how back lighting some of the texture makes it come alive in the evening
