Sculpture with a use; a cantilevered carport
I have a client that wants a sculpture in his entry and it also will allow for a table and parking as well. This is a mock up to allow the client to get a feel for the scale. There will be 3 such posts about 7′ apart with sheet steel for the roof. It will be about 20′ long. LED lights will illuminate the interior and a lot of concrete to counter balance the cantilever.
We did a railing for a client on the Oregon coast a few years ago that was based on some of the sea life on the ocean floor and now it’s time to add a fire door. So here’s the initial mock up we’re presenting. It’s for a gas fireplace so we don’t need to add screen and it will remain open when the fire is going
